Three visits to a clear answer
- We listen
- We talk about your life, your relationships, and your sensory world, now and growing up. You can bring notes, or someone who knew you as a child.
- We test
- You complete questionnaires and structured assessments, plus Creyos tasks. If ADHD may be part of the picture, we can look at that too.
- We explain everything
- We go over your results in plain language. You get your diagnosis, a written report, and a care plan.
After your evaluation: in New Jersey and New York, we can provide ongoing care and prescribe when needed. In DC, Florida, and California, you take your care plan to your own doctor.

Our founder
Founded by a clinician who was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult
Karina Campos, APN-BC, founded Neurokin in 2023. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of experience.
Karina was diagnosed with ADHD in her late 30s. She knows what it's like to go years without answers. She built Neurokin to give adults the thoughtful, respectful care she wished she'd had. Everything we do follows that standard.

Can adults be diagnosed with autism?
Yes. There is no age limit. Many people are diagnosed in their 20s, 30s, 40s, or later.
How is autism diagnosed in adults?
Over three visits. We talk about your life now and growing up. You complete questionnaires and structured assessments. Then we explain your results and your care plan.
What is masking?
Masking means hiding autistic traits to fit in, like copying others or forcing eye contact. It can make autism harder to spot, and it often leads to exhaustion or burnout.
Why get diagnosed as an adult?
Many adults say it helps them understand themselves, explain their needs, and get support at work or school. It can also guide care for related issues, like anxiety or ADHD.
Can I be autistic and have ADHD?
Yes. Many adults are both. This is often called AuDHD. If you think that may be you, we can evaluate both in one process.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a list of your medicines and any past reports. Notes about your daily life help too. If you can, ask a parent or old friend what you were like as a child.
Is your approach neurodiversity-affirming?
Yes. Autism is a different way of experiencing the world, not something to fix. Our goal is to help you understand yourself and get the support you want.
Do you accept insurance?
No, we don’t bill insurance. After each visit, we give you a superbill to send to your insurer. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, you may get some money back. HSA and FSA cards work too.
How much does an autism evaluation cost?
You pay one visit at a time, on the day of each visit. The price is the same in every state we serve. See our pricing page for current prices.
Can I do my autism evaluation online?
Yes, in all five states. In New Jersey, you can also come to our Westfield office. For an online visit, you need to be in one of our states at the time of your visit.
