Neurokin is a private-pay neurodiversity-affirming practice for adults seeking ADHD and Autism evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing care.

We take your lived experience seriously. We look at strengths alongside challenges. And we build a care plan that actually fits your life.

We're not an insurance-driven clinic. We're not rushing through 15-minute appointments.

We exist because neurodivergent adults deserve evaluation and care that's thorough, respectful, and designed around how your brain actually works, not how a billing system thinks it should.

You are not broken. Your brain deserves to be understood.

Who We Help

Neurokin works with people seeking clarity, validation, and expert care, often after years of feeling misunderstood, dismissed, or misdiagnosed. You might be a good fit if you're:

We specialize in adults who've been overlooked, including women, AFAB individuals, LGBTQ+ adults, and BIPOC clients who are statistically underdiagnosed in traditional settings.

Focused Expertise. Deeper Care.

We specialize in ADHD and Autism evaluation, diagnosis, and personalized treatment for adults, including late-identified adults who've spent years wondering if something else was going on.

We approach neurodiversity as a natural variation in how brains work. We don't pathologize. We don't rush. We focus on understanding your patterns, your context, and what kind of support would actually help.

We are not a general neurology clinic. We are not an insurance mill. And we don't treat neurodivergence as something to "fix."

  • ADHD Evaluation & Treatment

Stop white-knuckling your way through the day. We move beyond generic checklists to map your unique interest-based nervous system.

By combining objective data (like QbCheck) with an in-depth review of your lived experience, we identify the specific executive function patterns holding you back.

Whether you're seeking diagnostic clarity or a personalized treatment plan that respects your autonomy, we provide a roadmap that works for your brain, not against it.

  • Autism Evaluation & Care for Adults

A safe space to finally unmask. We specialize in identifying the nuanced, high-masking profiles that traditional medical models often overlook.

Our process explores your sensory landscape, social communication style, and internal experience to provide the language you’ve been missing.

We don't just hand you a label; we provide the validation and clinical insight required to stop feeling "broken" and start building a life that honors your neurotype.

Evidence-Based, Human-Centered Care

We use evidence-based tools to support clinical judgment and your lived experience, not to replace them.

Depending on your needs, this may include objective ADHD testing and cognitive assessment frameworks that add useful data within a broader, collaborative evaluation process.

But tools don't replace clinical judgment. They support it. Every evaluation at Neurokin combines structured assessment with in-depth conversation, developmental history, and a genuine effort to understand how your brain works in context.

We'll always explain what a tool can tell us and what it can't.

Your Questions About Neurodiversity-Affirming Care, Answered

  • What is neurodiversity-affirming care?

Neurodiversity-affirming care respects ADHD, Autism, and other neurodivergent traits as natural variations of human neurology and not something to “fix.” It focuses on understanding how your brain works, identifying both strengths and challenges, and offering support aligned with your real life and identity.

  • What is the difference between ADHD and Autism?

ADHD and Autism are distinct neurodevelopmental profiles, but they can overlap and co-occur. ADHD commonly involves differences in executive function (attention regulation, impulse control, working memory), while Autism often involves differences in sensory processing, social communication, and patterns of interests/behavior.

A thoughtful evaluation can clarify what fits best for you and what supports will actually help.

  • Can you be diagnosed with ADHD or Autism as an adult?

Yes. Adult ADHD and adult Autism diagnosis are clinically valid, and many people pursue evaluation later in life, often after burnout, a major transition, relationship strain, or recognizing lifelong patterns.

Adult assessment commonly includes an initial consult, a detailed evaluation, and a follow-up discussion of results and next steps.

  • What is late-identified autism?

Late-identified autism refers to Autism identification in adulthood (or later adolescence), often after years without an explanation that truly fit. This is especially common for people who learned to mask, compensate, or internalize their struggles. Late identification can be a meaningful turning point that provides self-understanding and more appropriate support.

  • Why is neurodiversity-affirming care important?

Deficit-only approaches can reinforce shame and push people toward “performing normal” rather than understanding their needs. Neurodiversity-affirming care emphasizes acceptance, strengths-based support, and individualized goals so that care builds self-trust and practical change without treating your identity as the problem.

  • How does Neurokin’s evaluation process work?

Neurokin’s evaluation is collaborative and comprehensive. It may include clinical interviews, developmental and life-history review, neurodiversity-affirming assessment tools, and—when appropriate—objective testing (such as QbCheck for ADHD and Creyos for cognitive assessment). The goal is to understand patterns, context, strengths, challenges, and what support will help you most.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Neurokin operates on a private-pay model and does not bill insurance directly. Some patients pursue out-of-network reimbursement depending on their plan. We can provide documentation to support reimbursement efforts when appropriate.

  • What is the cost of evaluation and treatment?

Costs vary based on the type and complexity of your evaluation and the follow-up support you choose.  For more details, contact us.

  • What happens after my evaluation?

After your evaluation, we review findings with you and clarify what they mean in plain language, then outline next steps.

Depending on your needs and location, next steps can include ongoing care at Neurokin, referrals, and a plan you can take to other providers (including local prescribers where medication is part of care but prescribing isn’t available in your state).

  • How is Neurokin different from other providers?

Neurokin is intentionally specialized in neurodiversity-affirming ADHD and Autism care. We prioritize depth over volume, use evidence-based tools as support (not replacement), and combine collaborative evaluation with tech-enabled continuity through our portal/app. We’re also positioned for NYC and multi-state access through expanded licensure, with prescribing capability in NY and NJ.
