Transparent, Private-Pay Model

At Neurokin, we operate as a specialized, private-pay practice focused exclusively on comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for ADHD and Autism.
All services are self-pay. This allows us to structure each evaluation and treatment around clinical depth, evidence-based assessment, and individualized analysis — rather than insurance-driven visit limitations.

Our model prioritizes diagnostic accuracy, thoughtful interpretation, and personalized recommendations.

ADHD Diagnostic Evaluation

Our ADHD evaluation is a structured, multi-stage diagnostic process delivered over three visits.
Rather than relying on brief screening visits, we dedicate multiple hours of direct clinical time — plus additional scoring and diagnostic analysis — to ensure accuracy and clarity.

The full ADHD evaluation process typically includes approximately three hours of direct clinical time, in addition to scoring, interpretation, and diagnostic analysis performed outside of session time.

ADHD Evaluation Includes Three Structured Stages:

Diagnostic Interview: $375Approximately 1 hour
A comprehensive diagnostic interview reviewing developmental history, academic or workplace performance, attention patterns, executive functioning, and any co-occurring concerns such as anxiety, mood, or learning differences.
This visit establishes the clinical foundation and determines whether formal testing is indicated.

Neurocognitive Assessment: $375Approximately 1 hour (If indicated)
Administration of standardized, evidence-based assessment tools designed to objectively measure attention, executive functioning, and related cognitive domains.
Testing helps differentiate ADHD from overlapping conditions and strengthens diagnostic precision.

Diagnostic Review & Care Planning: $375Approximately 1 hour
A dedicated review session to discuss findings in depth, clarify diagnosis, and develop personalized recommendations.
This may include non-pharmacologic strategies, academic or workplace accommodations, therapy referrals, and medication discussions when clinically appropriate.

Autism Spectrum Diagnostic Evaluation

Our Autism evaluation is a structured, developmentally informed diagnostic process delivered in multiple stages.
Because Autism involves lifelong patterns of communication, sensory processing, and social functioning, this evaluation requires a deep clinical understanding and careful analysis.
The full Autism evaluation typically includes multiple hours of direct clinical time, in addition to scoring, interpretation, and diagnostic analysis performed outside of session time.

Autism Evaluation Includes Three Structured Stages:

Diagnostic Interview: $750Approximately 2 hours
An extended, in-depth developmental and diagnostic interview reviewing early development, communication patterns, sensory processing, social interaction, and lifelong behavioral traits.
This stage establishes the clinical foundation for accurate Autism assessment.
The Autism initial diagnostic interview is longer due to the developmental depth required for accurate assessment.

Neurocognitive Assessment: $375Approximately 1 hour (If indicated)
Administration of standardized, evidence-based assessment tools to support diagnostic clarification and evaluate overlapping conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, or learning differences.
Neurocognitive assessment is recommended based on clinical need and may not be required in all cases.

Diagnostic Review & Care Planning: $375Approximately 1 hour
A dedicated review session to discuss findings in detail, clarify diagnosis, and develop personalized recommendations and next steps.
Our Autism evaluations are evidence-based and neurodiversity-affirming — focused on understanding strengths, challenges, and support needs with respect and clinical rigor.

Follow-up Visits

Follow-up Visits: $150
Follow-up visits provide ongoing monitoring, medication management (when appropriate), and refinement of recommendations after diagnostic evaluation.

What to Expect at Each Visit

Diagnostic Interview: The diagnostic interview is a comprehensive clinical conversation designed to understand the full picture — not just a checklist of symptoms. We review developmental history, current concerns, academic or workplace functioning, attention and executive function patterns, and relevant factors such as sleep, mood, anxiety, sensory processing, and medical history.
This stage establishes the clinical foundation for the evaluation and helps determine whether a neurocognitive assessment is recommended.
Neurocognitive Assessment (If Indicated): This visit involves the administration of standardized, evidence-based assessment tools tailored to the concerns identified in the diagnostic interview. When appropriate, assessment may include validated questionnaires and structured measures that evaluate attention, executive functioning, emotional regulation, and related domains.
The purpose of assessment is to strengthen diagnostic clarity, differentiate overlapping conditions, and provide objective insight into patterns that affect daily functioning — not simply to generate a score.
Testing is not required for every patient. Whether assessment is recommended is determined after the diagnostic interview.
Diagnostic Review & Care Planning: This is a dedicated session to review results in depth, clarify diagnosis, and answer questions. We discuss how the findings relate to real-life challenges at home, at school, at work, and in relationships.
You leave with personalized recommendations and next steps. Depending on your needs, this may include practical strategies, guidance on accommodations, therapy referrals, coaching recommendations, and medication discussion when clinically appropriate.
Our approach is evidence-based and neurodiversity-affirming — focused on clarity, support needs, and strengths, not labels or rushed conclusions.

Frequently asked questions

  • When clinically appropriate, medication may be discussed as part of your treatment plan following a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation.

Unlike some practices that avoid prescribing controlled medications due to regulatory complexity, Neurokin is properly licensed and structured to prescribe when clinically indicated. All treatment decisions are carefully documented and compliant with state and federal regulations.

Medication is never the starting point — it is one potential component of a broader, individualized care plan.

  • No. Neurokin is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance. This allows us to deliver structured, multi-stage evaluations with the time, depth, and clinical analysis required for accurate diagnosis.

  • Most evaluations involve multiple visits and several hours of direct clinical time, plus additional analysis performed outside of visit time. Timing varies based on clinical need and scheduling availability.

  • Yes. When clinically appropriate, we provide written documentation and recommendations that may support accommodations at school, college, or in the workplace.

  • Neurocognitive assessment is not required for every patient. Whether assessment is recommended depends on findings from the diagnostic interview and the clinical questions we are working to answer. If indicated, assessment is billed as its own stage so care remains individualized and only clinically necessary steps are pursued.

  • Yes. Upon request, we can provide a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your plan and is not guaranteed. In some cases, we can submit the claim to your insurance company for you for an additional fee.

  • Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations involve multiple hours of direct clinical time, standardized assessment tools when indicated, and additional time spent on scoring, interpretation, and diagnostic analysis. This level of clinical depth is not typically supported by insurance-based visit models built around short appointments.

  • Yes. Fees are transparent and reviewed prior to booking. Our evaluations are delivered in structured stages so families and patients understand the process, the timing, and the cost of each step before moving forward.

  • We offer staged payments by visit, and each visit is paid at the time of service. If you need additional flexibility, please contact our office and we’ll do our best to discuss options.

Our cancellation policy

To reserve dedicated clinical time, a $150 deposit is required for all new patient bookings. This deposit is applied toward your visit cost.

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice for a full refund of the deposit.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment, or missed appointments, are non-refundable.

Because our evaluations involve extended, reserved clinical time that cannot be filled on short notice, this policy ensures availability for all patients seeking care.
